Caritas Run For Life! Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for some family-friendly fun, join us for an exhilarating event of fitness, and giving back.

 Event Details:
 Date: 12th May 2024
Time: 07:00am – 5km race
07:30am – 10km race
08:30am – 2.5km kids race
4km walk
08:45am – 1km kids race

 Location: San Blas Therapeutic Community, Żebbuġ, Malta. You can find us on Google Maps.

Race Categories:
 10km Race: For the avid runners who love a challenge at €20 donation.

 5km Race: A perfect distance for both beginners and seasoned runners at €15 donation.

 4km Walk: Embrace a leisurely stroll in support of a great cause at €10 donation.

2.5km Race (Ages 10 – 13): Calling all young athletes to showcase their prowess at €5 donation.

 1km Race (Ages 6 – 9): Let the little ones shine in their own spirited race at €5 donation.

Competition and Fun:
Trophies will be presented to the top three finishers in the overall running events, as well as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place participants in each age category.

Trophies will be awarded for competitive categories every five years starting from the age 30 to 70+.

It’s not just about speed; it’s about pushing your limits and embracing the joy of achievement. And for those who just want to savour the experience, join the walk to make memories that will last a lifetime!

A Commemorative Running T-shirt, Medal and a Goodie Bag will be given to each participant.

Every race participant will automatically enter a ballot for the chance to win a Garmin Index S2 Scale.

Caritas celebrates community spirit. We are thrilled to announce that a special trophy TOP GROUP PARTICIPATION and a token from Eurosport will be awarded, to the group/club with the highest number of participants.

Route – A Journey with a Heart:
The route begins at the picturesque San Blas Therapeutic Community in Żebbuġ, Malta, where positivity and determination fill the air. You will be running or walking through nature all the way, traffic free. The route consists of country roads with fields on either side along all the way.

For the running lot, it is a fast route with a minimal elevation of 35m. As you cross the finish line at the same location, your triumph will be celebrated with a sense of accomplishment that goes beyond personal goals – it extends to supporting the invaluable work of Caritas Malta. Your participation directly contributes to the Caritas mission of spreading love, hope, and assistance to those in need.

Parking:
Parking is not available along the race and walking route. Remember to park outside that perimeter. St. Dorothy’s School Carpark in Żebbuġ is also available. Enjoy your warm-up run towards the scenic San Blas.

 Drop Bag Facility:
Don’t forget to drop your bags at San Blas before starting your race!
