DESCRIPTION:On the 8th of March 2026 in Triq l-Imdina\, Ħaż-Żebbug (Bypass) at 7am\, Bike it Up Racing will be hosting a Team Time Trial as part of the 2026 National Club Series. This event is being organized under the auspices of the Malta Cycling Federation and shall be held in accordance with the rules & regulations of the Malta Cycling Federation in collaboration with the Ħaż-Żebbug Local Council.\nThis race will carry points towards the National Club Series. Only members registered with the MCF will be allocated points\, including foreign riders living in Malta from the Junior Category onwards.\nTriathletes and individual riders are invited to participate\, even if not registered with the MCF upon a day licence fee to the MCF of €10 on top of the race fee. SUMMARY:The Cyclist - Agones Criterium
DESCRIPTION:1. This event is being organized by the Agones Sfc with the support of THE CYCLIST\, under the auspices of the Malta Cycling Federation and shall be held in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the Malta Cycling Federation.2. This event is open to all cyclists registered and licensed with the Malta Cycling Federation as well as registered students of the cycling clubs3. Cyclists are to use race numbers as assigned to them by the Malta Cycling Federation and are required to use 2 back numbers and one clearly visible bike frame number. Riders of various categories may also be asked to wear a hand band with distinctive colours to help the organisers4. All riders are to have their timing chip set on their bikes as instructed by the MCF. DUE TO THE TIMING SYSTEM SET UP NO PARTICIPANTS CAN BE ON THE RACE ROUTE OR CLOSE TO THE START AND FINISHING LINE UNLESS THEY ARE RACING. Riders that cross the line while they are not racing or warm up on the racecourse before their race will automatically be detected by the system and marked as NON STARTER.5. Conventional ‘CE’ Approved helmets are to be worn during warm-up and throughout the event6. Cyclists who have finished competing in the race should refrain from cycling on the race circuit.7. Cyclists are NOT ALLOWED to warm up or cycle on the circuit unless they are competing.8. Lapped cyclists must retire from the race and must do so immediately on being advised. Reframing from retiring may cause the race director to suspend the whole cycling team.9. Team vehicles shall not be allowed on the circuit although a nominated event safety car/motorcycle may be allowed on the circuit.10. Cyclists are not to approach the Timekeepers table for results. Each club should designate a club delegate to help on the finish line if need be.11. If a cyclist has a grievance or complaint\, the cyclist should advise his/her Club Delegate who should forward the grievance/complaint to the organizers through the proper channels.12. Cyclists must obey all instructions given by race officials or marshals and failure to obey such instructions and these regulations may result in disqualification. The RACE DIRECTOR has the final say.13. Cyclists club is to send their athletes participation list by Friday 6th February 202614.\nFee is €20 per athlete to be settled by clubs by Friday 6th\nFebruary 2026 via bank transfer on acc num Agones SFC IBAN: MT29VALL2201300000004002001815515.\nThe Organizers shall announce provisional results on the day and presentation will be held as soon as the race of each category is over.\nCyclists who fail to be present for the presentation may lose the right to receive the trophy.\nOfficial results will be posted on the agones sfc website and found on the ARRTS timing system website.\nCriterium Format\n• This event shall be held on Tuesday 10th February at 9.00 at Safi/Kirkop By pass. Cyclists in different categories have the following laps and time to complete the race as detailed hereunder:\nJuniors = 30 mins + 1 lapsLadies\, Master 40 +\, Master 50 = 30mins + 3 lapElite Cyclists\, u23 = 35 mins + 3 laps• The route is a loop of 2km.\n• Race route shall be closed for vehicular traffic except for emergency services• For more information\, please visit our event page.·\nAs per MCF regulation a category will not be held unless 3 athletes are registered in it.\nPlease make sure you are at the starting line at least 30 minutes before your designated start. We thank the Ħaż-Żebbuġ Local Council together with WURTH for their financial support. Without their support this event would not be possible to organise.\nRace details:Date: Sunday 13th April 2025Start: 07:30Meeting Point: Triq it-Tiġrija\, limits of Gianpula\, Ħaż-ŻebbuġCircuit loop: 7.5kmCircuit distance: 75km\nCategory Distance Laps Start TimeNURSERIES / ELITE / JUNIORS / MASTERS / LADIES\nOther info:* This event is being organised following MCF race regulations.* MCF race numbers are to be used.* Lapped riders may be stopped from the race if ordered by race officials* No Team cars will be allowed on circuit however team helpers with spare wheels can be positioned anywhere on the circuit.* Feeding is allowed from anywhere on the circuit as long as it is safe to do so.* Feeding is to be made on the left hand side of the road only.* Circuit will be closed to traffic. Yes\, this is a relay event after all.\n\n​Important Info \n\nThe start of the race is at 7:30AM\nThe road will be closed between 7:00AM and 10:00AM\nThe minimum age of participants is 16+\nThe maximum number of participants allowed is of 320\, that’s 80 teams of 4\nEach team must have at least one male or female registered.\n\nRace Format \n\nBike start in waves of 20 (4 waves in total) with 1 min interval between each wave.\nBike leg is draft legal. Time trial bikes and Ebikes are not allowed.\nRun starts 2 minutes after the last bike wave leaves.\nSwimmers start 20 min after the run start.\nSwim start: Beach start from the top of the ramp and will finish at the top of the ramp.\nSwimmers will use own chipped timing at the start and finish line.\nCyclists will use own chipped timing at the start and finish line.\nRunners will have the same and will use the finish Gantry. A secure area to tag for change over from runner 1 to runner 2 will be created. The change over will be marshaled by the organisers.\nRunners will run on the pavement and cycle lane.\nRunners will run with a race bib\nAll goody bags will be distributed at the end of the race.\nOnce registered\, should a team member need to be changed\, an email is to be sent to the organisers.\nThe registration will close once all 320 places have been filled.

SUMMARY:Team Greens Team Time Trial
DESCRIPTION:GREENS TEAM TIME TRIAL OPEN TO ALL CYCLISTS AND TRIATHLETES.\nTeam Greens would like to invite all Racing Cyclists and Triathletes to take part at the Team Greens Team Time Trial on Sunday 24th March 2024.\nThe event is planned to be set up as follows:\nEach team will be composed as following\nOpen Male: 3 or 4 men – timing on 3rd rider (mixed categories)\nFemale: 2 or 3 females – timing on 2nd rider\nYouths – Individual Time Trial\nTeam members can be of different clubs in the case that there would not be enough riders from the same club to make up the team. This team has to approved by clubs involved and organizers.\nTriathletes who have a valid insurance policy will be allowed to form a Tri Team or race with their individual club.\nThe main team of each club has to be composed from riders forming part of the same club.\nTime will be given on the third rider in of each team. In the case of a 4–men team\, they can lose a rider along the way.\nIn the eventuality that the fourth rider loses contact with his team due to puncture or race tactic\, and his team decides not to wait for him\, this rider has to get off the course and must not cross the finish line as his timing will not be valid and would interfere with the timing process. However if his team wins a prize he will also be awarded.\nIn a 3-men team – ALL riders have to finish together or else they will not be timed.\nThe race will take place on the coast road starting from the entrance to Maghtab and turnaround infront of coastline hotel\nRace distance will be 25kms (5 laps) for all teams\,\nYouth categories individual time trial will ride one lap of the course\nTeams will leave at 2 minutes intervals and they are responsible in counting their laps and when to go through the finish area. Remember\, the watch will stop on the third rider(male) second rider (female)\nWheel/bike changing is allowed from the course strictly on the left side of the road to avoid obstruction to on coming riders.\nNo vehicles will be allowed on the circuit.\nNo drafting will be allowed between teams\, if any team overtaking or being over taken is caught drafting will be disqualified by the race judges who will be positioned along the course.\nRiders are to use their timing chip and their MCF number.\nFees are as follows\nUnder 12: €10\nUnder 14: €10\nUnder 16: €10\nAll other categories: €20\nStarting order will be determined following rider registrations\nStart of race is 7:00 am\nFinal race schedule will be determined after closure of registrations

DESCRIPTION:Held under the auspices of the Malta Cycling Federation\, this 20km race is expected to welcome Malta’s top cyclists for some highly competitive action in Fleur-de-Lys\nThe event shall be held on Sunday 3rd March starting at 8:00am\, along Triq l-Imdina (Notabile Road)\, Fleur-de-Lys\, Birkirkara. The race starts and finishes opposite Farsons Direct on the same road.\nThis race is open for both cyclists and triathletes. However these have to be in possession of a valid insurance policy in order to take part.\nUnattached athletes who would like to take part in this event\, are kindly requested to contact Euchar Camilleri (secretary@bsj.mt) by not later than Thursday 29th February.

SUMMARY:The Cylist Criterium 2024 by Agones SFC
DESCRIPTION:Race Regulations\nGeneral Information\n1. This event is being organized by the Agones Sfc\, under the auspices of the Malta Cycling Federation and shall be held in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the Malta Cycling Federation.\n2. This event is open to all cyclists registered and licensed with the Malta Cycling Federation as well as registered students of the cycling clubs\n3. Cyclists are to use race numbers as assigned to them by the Malta Cycling Federation and are required to use 2 back numbers and one clearly visible bike frame number. Riders of various categories may also be asked to wear a hand band with distinctive colours to help the organisers.\n4. All riders are to have their timing chip set on their bikes as instructed by the MCF. DUE TO THE TIMING SYSTEM SET UP NO PARTICIPANTS CAN BE ON THE RACE ROUTE OR CLOSE TO THE START AND FINISHING LINE UNLESS THEY ARE RACING. Riders that cross the line while they are not racing or warm up on the racecourse before their race will automatically be detected by the system and marked as NON STARTER.\n5. Conventional ‘CE’ Approved helmets are to be worn during warm-up and throughout the event.\n6. Cyclists who have finished competing in the race should refrain from cycling on the race circuit.\n7. Cyclist are NOT ALLOWED to warm up or cycle on the circuit unless they are competing.\n8. Lapped cyclists have to retire from the race and must do so immediately on being advised. Reframing from retiring may cause the race director to suspend the whole cycling team.\n9. Team vehicles shall not be allowed on the circuit although a nominated event safety car/motorcycle may be allowed on the circuit.\n10. Cyclists are not to approach the Timekeepers table for results. Each club should designate a club delegate to help on the finish line if need be.\n11. If a cyclist has a grievance or complaint\, the cyclist should advise his/her Club Delegate who should forward the grievance/complaint to the organizers through the proper channels.\n12. Cyclists must obey all instructions given by race officials or marshals and failure to obey such instructions and these regulations may result in disqualification. The RACE DIRECTOR has the final say.\n13. Cyclists or cycling club are to apply by filling in the event form at www.agnes-sfc.eu/events\n15. The Organizers shall announce provisional results on the day and presentation will be held as soon as the race of each category is over. Cyclists who fail to be present for the presentation may lose the right to receive the trophy. Official results will be posted on the agones sfc website.\nAs of this year we will also be including a 10km time trial event for those not registered with sport Malta and have cycling insurance as well as a fun obstacle course for u10 athletes.\n16. A small memento shall be presented to all U’12s\nCriterium Format\n• The Race fee is follows\n5 euro – Fun obstacle course u10\n10 euro – Under 12\n15 Euro – Under 14\n20 euro – Rest of categories\n• This event shall be held on Saturday 5th February at 12.30 pm at Hal Far Race Track. Cyclists in different categories have the following laps and time to complete the race as detailed hereunder:\nCyclists under 12 – 2 + 1 lap\nCyclist under 14 – 3 + 1 lap\nLadies\, Master 40 +\, Under 16\, Master 50 +\, masters 60 + – 30 minutes + 3laps\nJuniors\, Elite Cyclists – 35 mins + 3 laps\nSport Category – 10km Time Trial (Time Trial Bikes Allowed)\n• The route is a loop of 2km.\n• Race route shall be closed for vehicular traffic accept for emergency services\n• For more information please visit our event page.\nBelow please find the time for the various predicted starting times for the various categories. Please make sure you are at the starting line at least 30 minutes before your designated start. Starting times are just an approximation.\n• Sport Category Time Trial – 12.00\n• Under 12 – 13.00pm\n• Under 14- 13.30pm\n• Under 16\, Ladies\, Masters 40+\, juniors\, Masters 50+\, Masters 60+ – 14.00pm\n• Juniors\, Elite -15.00pm.\nIn the eventuality of bad weather\, the Race director will decide if the race will be cancelled 15 minutes prior to the start of each category. The race will then be moved to another day.\nNote from ARRTS Timing System – All cyclists need to have their transponder checked. Cyclists need to be at the Start/Finish Area at least 1 hour before. If Timing chip marks below 2.3v needs changing.
