To Apply\, go to the Application Forms page\, late applications may not be accepted. \nRegistration\nParticipants must register and collect their race number\, timing chips and pins from (TBA) on (TBA) from (TBA). \nRace numbers can only be collected by giving the registration official the applicant’s ID number or Passport Number\, whichever was used to apply for the 2025 Eurosport Attard 5K. \nRace numbers can be collected on behalf of an applicant by another person\, however the ID number or Passport Number\, whichever was used to apply for the 2025 Eurosport Attard 5K must be given to the registration official. \nThere will be no need to have the ID or passport in hand\, the number will be enough. \nEligibility\nThe first 500 male and females who apply and pay the application fee and who are at least 11 years old on the day of the race. \n5k Application Fees\n(TBA) for applications and fees received until (TBA). \n(TBA) for applications and fees received and accepted after the (TBA). \nKids Race (5 to 15) Application Fee\n(TBA) for applications and fees received by the (TBA). \n(TBA) for applications and fees received and accepted after the (TBA). \nAges 11 to 15\, may apply either for the 5K or for the Kids Race. \nApplication fees for participants registering on-line may be paid either by credit card or by bank transfer. \nWhen paying the application fee by bank transfer\, the Application Code must be included in the transaction details of the bank transfer. \nFees are applicable at the time of payment and not at the time of application. \nApplication status\nApplicants applying on-line will automatically receive an email with the participant details as submitted\, the application status at this stage would be Processed Not Paid. \nApplicants paying on-line by credit card immediately after having applied on-line will automatically receive an email with the participant details as submitted\, the application status at this stage would be Confirmed. \nApplicants applying and paying the application fee by bank transfer will receive an email with the participant details as submitted or with any adjustments requested by the applicant. The timing chip is embedded in a white strip at the back of the number. \nUnder no circumstance should you ever cross the start and finish lines with somebody else’s timing chip on you. Do not give your race number to anyone else\, this could lead to your disqualification from future organised races. \nRoute\nDownload Attard 5K map\nStart times\nBoth the start and finish shall be from where there is the open air gym on the old Ta Kali runway. \nStart times: 5K 0700\, Kids Race 0745 \nFinish line: The finish line will close at 0800. San Michel and Powerade will be provided at the finish. \nCommemorative award\nAll athletes finishing before the finish closes will be presented with a commemorative medal after they cross the finish line. \nAwards for the Attard 10k\n1st 3 Males\, 1st 3 Females \n1st 3 Male Teams\, 1st 3 Female Teams \n1st & 2nd M/F over 40\, 1st & 2nd M/F over 45\, 1st & 2nd M/F over 50\, 1st & 2nd M/F over 55\, 1st & 2nd M/F over 60\,1st & 2nd M/F over 65\,1st & 2nd M/F over 70 \nNote: The age group category of each individual will be based on the age of the individual on the day of the race\, as allowed by the World Athletics Competition and Technical rules (See footnote of Rule 141). \nTeam competition\nA team may represent any club or group\, a team will consist of 3 runners. Every 3 same sex\, members of a club or group\, who finish the event will be classified as having participated in the team competition. Runners who do NOT name their team on their application form will NOT be classified as having participated in the team competition. Requests for team changes after an application form has been sent in\, may only be made by the participant himself or herself. Team names deemed offensive or otherwise may not be accepted by the organisers. Team awards will be based on the overall positions of the individual team members. If 2 or more teams finish on equal points the top places will be awarded to the first team/s whose last participant finishes before the other team’s last particpant. \nAward ceremony\nThe award ceremony will be held in the morning at the finish towards the end of the event. Hang around because you or a friend of yours may have won an award. The organiser is not responsible for awards not collected in person by the winners during the award giving ceremony. \nAwards for the Kids Race\nThere will be no awards after each Kids Race but each finisher will still receive a medal. \nThe Attard Kids Race is part of the Kids Hall Of Fame. Each kid will receive a number of points based on his/her finishing position and the number of finishers in the race. These points will be added to any other points received in the other 4 Kids Races of the Kids Series. \nKids Hall Of Fame awards will be given at the end of the Kids Series to the 1st 3 M/F over 5\, 1st 3 M/F over 7\, 1st 3 M/F over 10 and 1st 3 M/F over 13 who obtain the most points at the end of the series. \nThe following kids races form part of the Kids HOF Series: Attard (September)\, LRC (October)\, Zurrieq (November)\, Attard (January) and Malta Marathon (February). \nResults\nResults will be available from the Malta Marathon website once they have been made official\, participants who registered on-line or by post and who have given a valid and clear email address will be advised by email when the results are available. \nOther race information\nThe following are some important race details. \nToilet facilities are available close to the start and finish.\nAthletes who in any way deface or fold their race number are liable to disqualification; numbers are to be worn on the front and are to be clearly visible.\nAthletes who are not clearly behind the start line at the start of their race are also liable to disqualification.\nFaster athletes should be given preference to stay at the front of the starting line\, please do not hinder faster runners.\nKilometres will be marked along the route. KMs are not necessarily precise but may only be indicative.\nThere will be a water station along the route.\nThere will be traffic police and wardens to control traffic in various parts of the route but remember the route is not traffic free\, so we urge you to be cautious and where possible run on the pavements. Better to be safe than a couple of seconds faster.

DESCRIPTION:After careful consideration the Agones Sfc committee\, has decided to change the format of the Trail Running League Race 4 – Red Tower for 2025 which was going to take place on the 15th June 2025. \nThe event turnout at this point is extremely low\, especially considering that a charity run is being organized on the same day and many athletes have opted to do the charity run. Obviously\, the charity run was not on the calendar when we chose the date for the Red Tower run. In fact\, the Red Tower Run has been organized on the same weekend for the past 5 years and this event has just been cropped up recently. \nAs you can imagine\, as a voluntary organization\, we cannot afford to organize events which are not financially viable and for this reason we decided to cancel the live event. \nNonetheless\, as we always do\, we look at a solution to keep the league exciting and make sure everyone completes the medal set. \n–          First and foremost\, the Red Tower Run will be changed into a virtual run which can be executed independently between the 14th and 29th June 2025. To apply for the run simply go to www.agones-sfc.eu/events \,once the run is completed you will be requested to send us an email with you Garmin or Strava segment of the route and you will receive the TRL4 Medal. Medals will then be distributed later. (Race route can be found on the event page) \n–          To make sure that the overall league classification is still based on 5 races\, we will replace the Red Tower Trail Run with the newly launched Gudja 5k. SUMMARY:XTERRA Gozo Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:RULES & INFO\nMINIMUM KIT REQUIREMENTS \nYour own hydration pack with 500ml water or isotonic minimum\, carried between the 4 rest stops. Don’t underestimate the heat and how much water you will actually need. \nYou must finish with all the gear you started with and can refill your bladder/bottles on the rest stops. \nYou must carry your Mobile phone\, with full charge and credit to use in Malta/Gozo\, with our Race Emergency Crew number on speed dial. \nTrail running shoes are recommended. \nHat and sunscreen strongly recommended \nIt is a tough course\, if you see another runner in distress please help them or let one of our volunteers know. \nTRAIL RUN RULES\n1. Shoes and shirt/top are required at ALL times on the run course. Men running bare chested can be disqualified.\n2. Race number must be clearly visible on the front of the runner at all times. A race belt may be used to secure the race number. Failure to wear a race number on the run will result in disqualification.\n3. A runner may run or walk to complete the course.\n4. Outside assistance from a non-participant or spectator is NOT allowed at any time on the run course. This means no receiving food\, hydration\, water/ice/sponges for cooling off from anyone except our volunteers at the 4 rest stops. Runners caught receiving external assistance can be disqualified.\n5. Pacing from a non-participant or any kind of motorised vehicle is not allowed at any time on the run course.\n6. No individual or team support vehicle may follow runners around the course.\n7. Participants must give way to medical and emergency personnel at all times on the run course regardless of their race standing.\n8. Respect local traffic rules and other vehicles on the road at all times.\n9. Short-cutting and/or cutting trail switchbacks or any part of the course is not permitted and may result in disqualification. A runner is required to stay on the designated trail that is marked and or specified as the racecourse. It is the runner’s responsibility to know the designated racecourse. Lack of tape or barrier on the course will not be constituted as an excuse for cutting course.\n10. Runners must complete the entire run course unassisted. Failure to complete the course correctly will result in disqualification. \nGENERAL\n1. If for any reason a participant cannot finish the race\, they must report to our volunteers at a rest stop or the finish line area. We will look for you if you do not advise us that you stopped so please let us know asap.\n2. Littering on the run course is prohibited. Any item that needs to be discarded\, including water bottles\, gel wrappers\, energy bar wrappers\, broken bike parts\, inner tubes\, or clothing items\, can only be discarded at aid / hydration stations.\n3. Race numbers and race registration CANNOT be transferred unless done through Active well in advance. Participants found racing under a different name will be disqualified.\n4. Consider the safety of yourself and other participants at all times during the race. Treat other participants\, race officials\, race marshals\, medical staff\, traffic enforcers\, and spectators with respect and courtesy before\, during and after the race. \n5. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct\, including the improper use of language or conduct directed toward another participant\, race official\, race marshal\, medical staff or traffic enforcer\, and spectators.\n6. Any protest relating to race results must be submitted in writing to the Race Director within one hour of the final race cutoff.\n7. In case of severe weather on race day\, XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make the necessary adjustments to the racecourse to ensure the safety of all participants.\n8. XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make rule changes at any time provided all athletes are notified on the website and at the pre-race athlete.
