SUMMARY:CANCELLED - Eurosport Adidas 'Terrex' Trail Running League 2025 - Race 4 – Red Tower
DESCRIPTION:After careful consideration the Agones Sfc committee\, has decided to change the format of the Trail Running League Race 4 – Red Tower for 2025 which was going to take place on the 15th June 2025. \nThe event turnout at this point is extremely low\, especially considering that a charity run is being organized on the same day and many athletes have opted to do the charity run. Obviously\, the charity run was not on the calendar when we chose the date for the Red Tower run. In fact\, the Red Tower Run has been organized on the same weekend for the past 5 years and this event has just been cropped up recently. \nAs you can imagine\, as a voluntary organization\, we cannot afford to organize events which are not financially viable and for this reason we decided to cancel the live event. \nNonetheless\, as we always do\, we look at a solution to keep the league exciting and make sure everyone completes the medal set. \n–          First and foremost\, the Red Tower Run will be changed into a virtual run which can be executed independently between the 14th and 29th June 2025. To apply for the run simply go to www.agones-sfc.eu/events \,once the run is completed you will be requested to send us an email with you Garmin or Strava segment of the route and you will receive the TRL4 Medal. Medals will then be distributed later. (Race route can be found on the event page) \n–          To make sure that the overall league classification is still based on 5 races\, we will replace the Red Tower Trail Run with the newly launched Gudja 5k. To apply for the run simply go to www.agones-sfc.eu/events \n–          All those that already applied for the Red tower Trail Run will be contacted with the option of transferring their registration or get a refund. \nWhilst we are honestly gutted to have to take this decision\, we hope you can understand the situation and as continue to rely on your support to be able to continue to grow this running discipline we have come to love.

The race\, which is approx 5km long is supported by EUROSPORT and powered by Adidas Terrex.\nThe Buskett route\, is one of the nicest trail running experiences you can get on our island. The short distance makes this event particularly attractive for rookie runners\, as well as more experienced trail runners who want to challenge each other on home soil!\nAll events timed by ARRTS timing system.NOTE: Numbers need to be kept for the whole series. DESCRIPTION:RULES & INFO\nMINIMUM KIT REQUIREMENTS \nYour own hydration pack with 500ml water or isotonic minimum\, carried between the 4 rest stops. Don’t underestimate the heat and how much water you will actually need. \nYou must finish with all the gear you started with and can refill your bladder/bottles on the rest stops. \nYou must carry your Mobile phone\, with full charge and credit to use in Malta/Gozo\, with our Race Emergency Crew number on speed dial. \nTrail running shoes are recommended. \nHat and sunscreen strongly recommended \nIt is a tough course\, if you see another runner in distress please help them or let one of our volunteers know. \nTRAIL RUN RULES\n1. Shoes and shirt/top are required at ALL times on the run course. Men running bare chested can be disqualified.\n2. Race number must be clearly visible on the front of the runner at all times. A race belt may be used to secure the race number. Failure to wear a race number on the run will result in disqualification.\n3. A runner may run or walk to complete the course.\n4. Outside assistance from a non-participant or spectator is NOT allowed at any time on the run course. This means no receiving food\, hydration\, water/ice/sponges for cooling off from anyone except our volunteers at the 4 rest stops. Runners caught receiving external assistance can be disqualified.\n5. Pacing from a non-participant or any kind of motorised vehicle is not allowed at any time on the run course.\n6. No individual or team support vehicle may follow runners around the course.\n7. Participants must give way to medical and emergency personnel at all times on the run course regardless of their race standing.\n8. Respect local traffic rules and other vehicles on the road at all times.\n9. Short-cutting and/or cutting trail switchbacks or any part of the course is not permitted and may result in disqualification. A runner is required to stay on the designated trail that is marked and or specified as the racecourse. It is the runner’s responsibility to know the designated racecourse. Lack of tape or barrier on the course will not be constituted as an excuse for cutting course.\n10. Runners must complete the entire run course unassisted. Failure to complete the course correctly will result in disqualification. \nGENERAL\n1. If for any reason a participant cannot finish the race\, they must report to our volunteers at a rest stop or the finish line area. We will look for you if you do not advise us that you stopped so please let us know asap.\n2. Littering on the run course is prohibited. Any item that needs to be discarded\, including water bottles\, gel wrappers\, energy bar wrappers\, broken bike parts\, inner tubes\, or clothing items\, can only be discarded at aid / hydration stations.\n3. Race numbers and race registration CANNOT be transferred unless done through Active well in advance. Participants found racing under a different name will be disqualified.\n4. Consider the safety of yourself and other participants at all times during the race. Treat other participants\, race officials\, race marshals\, medical staff\, traffic enforcers\, and spectators with respect and courtesy before\, during and after the race. \n5. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct\, including the improper use of language or conduct directed toward another participant\, race official\, race marshal\, medical staff or traffic enforcer\, and spectators.\n6. Any protest relating to race results must be submitted in writing to the Race Director within one hour of the final race cutoff.\n7. In case of severe weather on race day\, XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make the necessary adjustments to the racecourse to ensure the safety of all participants.\n8. XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make rule changes at any time provided all athletes are notified on the website and at the pre-race athlete.

SUMMARY:Xterra Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:TRAIL RUN\n1. Shoes and shirt/top are required at all times on the run course.\n2. Race number must be clearly visible on the front of the runner at all times. A race belt may be used to secure the race number. Failure to wear a race number on the run will result in disqualification.\n3. A runner may run or walk to complete the course.\n4. Outside assistance from a non-participant or spectator is not allowed at any time on the run course. This means no receiving food\, hydration\, water/ice/sponges for cooling off from any person not directly involved in the event.\n5. Pacing from a non-participant or any kind of motorized vehicle is not allowed at any time on the run course.\n6. No individual or team support vehicle may follow runners around the course.\n7. Participants must give way to medical and emergency personnel at all times on the run course regardless of their race standing.\n8. Respect local traffic rules and other vehicles on the road at all times.\n9. Short-cutting and/or cutting trail switchbacks or any part of the course is not permitted and may result in disqualification. A runner is required to stay on the designated trail that is marked and or specified as the racecourse. It is the runner’s responsibility to know the designated racecourse. Lack of tape or barrier on the course will not be constituted as an excuse for cutting course.\n10. Runners must complete the entire run course unassisted. Failure to complete the course correctly will result in disqualification. \nGENERAL\n1. If for any reason a participant cannot finish the race\, they must report to the finish line area and return their timing chip. This will result in a DNF (did not finish) result.\n2. Littering on the run and bike course is prohibited. Any item that needs to be discarded\, including water bottles\, gel wrappers\, energy bar wrappers\, broken bike parts\, inner tubes\, or clothing items\, can only be discarded at aid / hydration stations.\n3. Race numbers and race registration CANNOT be transferred unless done through Active well in advance. Participants found racing under a different name will be disqualified.\n4. Consider the safety of yourself and other participants at all times during the race. Treat other participants\, race officials\, race marshals\, medical staff\, traffic enforcers\, and spectators with respect and courtesy before\, during and after the race. \n5. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct\, including the improper use of language or conduct directed toward another participant\, race official\, race marshal\, medical staff or traffic enforcer\, and spectators.\n6. Any protest relating to race results must be submitted in writing to the Race Director within one hour of the final race cutoff.\n7. In case of severe weather on race day\, XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make the necessary adjustments to the racecourse to ensure the safety of all participants.\n8. XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make rule changes at any time provided all athletes are notified on the website and at the pre-race athlete.

DESCRIPTION:Eurosport Adidas ‘Terrex’ Trail Running League 2025 – Race 2 – Night race\nRace 2 of the Eurosport Adidas ‘Terrex’ Trail Running League is the only trail race on the island that takes place at night!\nThe darkness gives a different experience to trail running in general. Every year for the last years\, we had a record-breaking crowd attending this race and this year we expect even bigger numbers as the public is discovering year by year the fun and excitement in trail running.\n\nThe race will be held on Friday 7rd February 8.00pm at Birzebbuga. The race\, which is approx 6km long is supported by EUROSPORT and powered by Adidas Terrex.\nHas Saptan valley is one of the last rural areas on the south of the island. The short distance makes this event particularly attractive for rookie runners\, as well as more experienced trail runners who want to challenge each other on home soil!\nAll events timed by ARRTS timing system.\nNOTE: Numbers need to be kept for the whole series. If a number is lost or destroyed the athletes need to purchase a new one from ARRTS at a cost of €5.\nApplications are done online on www.agones-sfc.eu/events.Online applications will close 3 days prior to the event or when the maximum number of participants is reached.\nParticipation will only be confirmed when the payment is processed.\nApart from the prizes given to the winners on race day\, there will also be an overall individual classification\nAge group trophies will be given only for the overall classification at the end of the league.

SUMMARY:Xterra Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:As part of the XTERRA MALTA Triathlon Weekend of activities\, the run route of the triathlon will host the fun but challenging 6 km run. Beginners are encouraged and very welcome. Seasoned trail runners can push themselves on this gorgeous and challenging route. \n  \nRULES & INFO\nThe information below may be from a previous edition of the event\, and is subject to change.\n\nTRAIL RUN\n1. Shoes and shirt/top are required at all times on the run course.\n2. Race number must be clearly visible on the front of the runner at all times. A race belt may be used to secure the race number. Failure to wear a race number on the run will result in disqualification.\n3. A runner may run or walk to complete the course.\n4. Outside assistance from a non-participant or spectator is not allowed at any time on the run course. This means no receiving food\, hydration\, water/ice/sponges for cooling off from any person not directly involved in the event.\n5. Pacing from a non-participant or any kind of motorized vehicle is not allowed at any time on the run course.\n6. No individual or team support vehicle may follow runners around the course.\n7. Participants must give way to medical and emergency personnel at all times on the run course regardless of their race standing.\n8. Respect local traffic rules and other vehicles on the road at all times.\n9. Short-cutting and/or cutting trail switchbacks or any part of the course is not permitted and may result in disqualification. A runner is required to stay on the designated trail that is marked and or specified as the racecourse. It is the runner’s responsibility to know the designated racecourse. Lack of tape or barrier on the course will not be constituted as an excuse for cutting course.\n10. Runners must complete the entire run course unassisted. Failure to complete the course correctly will result in disqualification. \nGENERAL\n1. If for any reason a participant cannot finish the race\, they must report to the finish line area and return their timing chip. This will result in a DNF (did not finish) result.\n2. Littering on the run and bike course is prohibited. Any item that needs to be discarded\, including water bottles\, gel wrappers\, energy bar wrappers\, broken bike parts\, inner tubes\, or clothing items\, can only be discarded at aid / hydration stations.\n3. In transition area\, it is the responsibility of the participant to ensure all race gear is their respective race baskets / boxes / bags.\n4. Only participants wearing an XTERRA Malta wristband and race officials will be allowed to enter Transition. No family members\, personal bike mechanics or photographers without credentials will be allowed in Transition at any time.\n5. Bikes and bags can only be collected by the PARTICIPANT\, family members\, support staff\, coaches\, and drivers will NOT be allowed to collect bikes and bags from transition. Participants will be required to present a race number to the transition marshal as proof of bike ownership.\n6. Relay participants must remain in the designated waiting areas in transition and wait for their teammate to arrive. They cannot leave transition unless given permission by a race marshal. Once a relay participant has completed their leg of the race they may leave transition but will not be allowed to return to transition until transition opens for bike and race gear collection.\n7. MP3 players or any kind of personal music / listening devices with headset are not allowed at any time during the race. Use of a headset will result in disqualification.\n8. Race numbers and race registration CANNOT be transferred. Participants found racing under a different name will be disqualified.\n9. RELAY TEAMS can consist of 2-3 participants; a participant from another relay team cannot compete as part of a second relay team. No participant registered as an individual may race as part of a relay team.\n10. Consider the safety of yourself and other participants at all times during the race. Treat other participants\, race officials\, race marshals\, medical staff\, traffic enforcers\, and spectators with respect and courtesy before\, during and after the race.\n11. Participants shall refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct\, including the improper use of language or conduct directed toward another participant\, race official\, race marshal\, medical staff or traffic enforcer\, and spectators.\n12. Any protest relating to race results must be submitted in writing to the Race Director within one hour of the final race cutoff.\n13. In case of severe weather on race day\, XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make the necessary adjustments to the racecourse to ensure the safety of all participants.\n14. XTERRA Malta reserves the right to make rule changes at any time provided all athletes are notified on the website and at the pre-race athlete.

SUMMARY:Eurosport Adidas 'Terrex' Trail Running League 2023 - Race 2 - Night race
DESCRIPTION:Race 2 of the Eurosport Adidas ‘Terrex’ Trail Running League is the only trail race on the island that takes place at night!\nThe darkness gives a different experience to trail running in general. Every year for the last years\, we had a record-breaking crowd attending this race and this year we expect even bigger numbers as the public is discovering year by year the fun and excitement in trail running.\n\nThe race will be held on Friday 2rd February 8.00pm at Birzebbuga. The race\, which is approx 6km long is supported by EUROSPORT and powered by Adidas Terrex.\nHas Saptan valley is one of the last rural areas on the south of the island. The short distance makes this event particularly attractive for rookie runners\, as well as more experienced trail runners who want to challenge each other on home soil!\nAll events timed by ARRTS timing system.\nNOTE: Numbers need to be kept for the whole series. If a number is lost or destroyed the athletes need to purchase a new one from ARRTS at a cost of €5.\nApplications are done online on www.agones-sfc.eu/events.\nOnline applications will close 3 days prior to the event or when the maximum number of participants is reached.\nParticipation will only be confirmed when the payment is processed.\nApart from the prizes given to the winners on race day\, there will also be an overall individual classification\nAge group trophies will be given only for the overall classification at the end of the league.
