DESCRIPTION:The BSJ Gozo-Malta Open Water Swimming Competition\, organized by Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club\, and held under the auspices of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta\, will be divided into three categories. \nThe event shall be segmented in three categories. \n\nThe main category\, called Category A\, shall be the race for individual swimmers without an escort boat and with a tow float attached. DESCRIPTION:X-WATERS Malta 2024 is the round of the X-WATERS World Championship 2024.\nMalta is an archipelago\, which consists of three islands: Gozo\, Comino and Malta. We will swim between all three!\nThe water at the rocky shores is famous for its transparency\, in good weather visibility reaches 50 meters! Throughout years\, Malta has been one of the top destinations for diving in Europe.\nThese straits were visited by the ships of Ulysses\, Napoleon and Lord Nelson\, trading caravans and military flotilla of Carthaginians\, Phoenicians\, Romans\, Arabs\, Spaniards\, Normans\, submarines of the Third Reich and destroyers of allies. DESCRIPTION:The annual Garmin BSJ Open Water Swimming Championships will be organised by the Swimming Board of Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club\, under the auspices of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta and will consist of five races of a 2km distance\, and one race of 4km. \nThe Club reserves the right to cancel events at its own discretion even at a short notice. \nThe Club will announce the location closer to the race date in order to establish a location with safe racing conditions. \nRace 1 – 19th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 2 – 26th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 3 – 3rd July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 4 – 31st July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 5 – 14th August – 6:00pm – 2km \nRace 6 – 28th August – 5:00pm – 4k \n21st August – Reserved for Cancellations – 2k \n4th September – Reserved for Cancellations – 4km \nThe entry fee for each race is €15 per race \nSwimming Championships Single Entry – €15 – REGISTER \nSAFETY: All efforts will be made by the Club to ensure the safety of the swimmers during these events. Nonetheless\, swimmers are being reminded that should at any time a swimmer feels unwell\, s/he should immediately draw the attention of one of the marshals on the patrolling canoes or boat\, or head for the shore immediately.  Swimmers should be conversant with all the applicable rules and regulations.
