DESCRIPTION:1. This event is being organized by the Agones Sfc with the support of THE CYCLIST\, under the auspices of the Malta Cycling Federation and shall be held in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the Malta Cycling Federation.2. This event is open to all cyclists registered and licensed with the Malta Cycling Federation as well as registered students of the cycling clubs3. Cyclists are to use race numbers as assigned to them by the Malta Cycling Federation and are required to use 2 back numbers and one clearly visible bike frame number. Riders of various categories may also be asked to wear a hand band with distinctive colours to help the organisers4. All riders are to have their timing chip set on their bikes as instructed by the MCF. DUE TO THE TIMING SYSTEM SET UP NO PARTICIPANTS CAN BE ON THE RACE ROUTE OR CLOSE TO THE START AND FINISHING LINE UNLESS THEY ARE RACING. Riders that cross the line while they are not racing or warm up on the racecourse before their race will automatically be detected by the system and marked as NON STARTER.5. Conventional ‘CE’ Approved helmets are to be worn during warm-up and throughout the event6. Cyclists who have finished competing in the race should refrain from cycling on the race circuit.7. Cyclists are NOT ALLOWED to warm up or cycle on the circuit unless they are competing.8. Lapped cyclists must retire from the race and must do so immediately on being advised. Reframing from retiring may cause the race director to suspend the whole cycling team.9. Team vehicles shall not be allowed on the circuit although a nominated event safety car/motorcycle may be allowed on the circuit.10. Cyclists are not to approach the Timekeepers table for results. Each club should designate a club delegate to help on the finish line if need be.11. If a cyclist has a grievance or complaint\, the cyclist should advise his/her Club Delegate who should forward the grievance/complaint to the organizers through the proper channels.12. Cyclists must obey all instructions given by race officials or marshals and failure to obey such instructions and these regulations may result in disqualification. The RACE DIRECTOR has the final say.13. DESCRIPTION:Agones SFC will once again be organising the Agones Duathlon 2026. \nThe race is supported by the Safi and Kirkop Local Council \nThe Duathlon is a draft legal multi-sport event and is endorsed by the MTF and valid for the TOYT point system. \nThe race consists of a 4km run (2 loops)\, 17km bike (8 loops) and 2km run (1 loop) \nThe senior race will start at 7.30am sharp with a 1hr 30mins time limit to finish the event. \nBike check will be at 6.30am. \nRace briefing will be held at 7.15am. Females and Males will start together \nThere will be a water station near the Bike / Run Transition. In order to help the organizers and to make sure we leave the place clean we encourage everyone to throw the bottles in the bins which will be placed along the route. Failing to do so may incur into time penalty. \nIn the eventuality of bad weather\, the race director will make the necessary decisions 15 minutes prior to the race start and the race will be moved to a more appropriate date. DESCRIPTION:Time & Location\n\n\n23 Dec 2025\, 08:00 – 22:00 \nMalta Fairs & Conventions Centre (MFCC)\, Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre \n\n\n\n\nAbout the event\n\n\n\nRace Day Information\n📅 Date: 23rd December \n📍 Location: Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre \n \nThe Final Showdown is Here\nAfter three action-packed qualifiers\, the season comes to a close with the Club Attempt League Grand Finale. \nThe Top 5 athletes and teams from each category have secured their spot in the League Final\, where they’ll go head-to-head for the ultimate title. But there’s more… \n \nOpen Race.. Everyone’s Invited!\nWhether you’ve been in the league or are just stepping onto the course for the first time\, the Grand Finale is open to all.And yes\, there will be Race Day Winners crowned in every category\, separate from the League Final results. \n \nSo even if you’re not in the Top 5\, you’ve still got a shot at race day glory! \n \nLeague Eligibility Criteria\nTo qualify for the league standings\, participants must: \n\n\nComplete at least 2 out of the 3 races + The final race in December 2025. \n\n\nParticipate in the final race December 2025 \n\n\nMaintain the same partners for double categories throughout all races \n\n\n(Changing partners will forfeit league points) \n \n\n\n\n\n🧠 Reminder: League rankings are calculated using the two best performances from the first three races\, plus the final race. The lowest score from the first three races is dropped\, and final race points are then added for overall standings. \n \nTop 5 Heats by Division\nThe top five performers\, based on cumulative league points leading up to the event\, will qualify for a special Top 5 race in their category: \n\n\nTop 5 Female Individuals \n\n\nTop 5 Male Individuals \n\n\nTop 5 Mixed Doubles \n\n\nTop 5 Male Doubles \n\n\nTop 5 Female Doubles \n\n\nTop 5 Relay Teams \n \n\n\nThese Top 5 races will run separately from the main heats and are designed to showcase the highest-ranked athletes or teams in each division. \n \nLeague champions will be determined based on the results of the Top 5 races on the day. Separate awards and podiums will be presented to these finalists\, celebrating the best of the best.
