SUMMARY:2024 | Garmin BSJ Open Water Swimming Championships – Race 4
DESCRIPTION:The annual Garmin BSJ Open Water Swimming Championships will be organised by the Swimming Board of Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club\, under the auspices of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta and will consist of five races of a 2km distance\, and one race of 4km. \nThe Club reserves the right to cancel events at its own discretion even at a short notice. \nThe Club will announce the location closer to the race date in order to establish a location with safe racing conditions. \nRace 1 – 19th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 2 – 26th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 3 – 3rd July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 4 – 31st July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 5 – 14th August – 6:00pm – 2km \nRace 6 – 28th August – 5:00pm – 4k \n21st August – Reserved for Cancellations – 2k \n4th September – Reserved for Cancellations – 4km \nThe entry fee for each race is €15 per race \nSwimming Championships Single Entry – €15 – REGISTER \nSAFETY: All efforts will be made by the Club to ensure the safety of the swimmers during these events. Nonetheless\, swimmers are being reminded that should at any time a swimmer feels unwell\, s/he should immediately draw the attention of one of the marshals on the patrolling canoes or boat\, or head for the shore immediately.  Swimmers should be conversant with all the applicable rules and regulations.

SUMMARY:Agones Aquathlon 2024
DESCRIPTION:General Information\nAgones Sfc will be organizing an Aquathlon.\nThe event\, which is endorsed by the Malta Triathlon Federation and valid for the triathlete of the year award 2024 as from this year will adopt the World Triathlon Aquathlon Format and therefore will consist of a 1km Swim followed by 5km Run\, with a time limit of 90 minutes.\nRace will be held on the 28th July 2024\nThe race venue will be PRETTY BAY\, Birzebbuga.\nRace Starts at 7.00am\nRace briefing will be held at 6.50am. Females and Males will have a separate start.\nARRTS will be timing the event. ARRTS timing chips shall be used. All those who do not have an ARRTS timing chip need to hire one on the day from race venue for €5.\nRun will take place on the promenade & pavements and therefore traffic free. Roads will not be closed to traffic.\nAll finishers will receive a medal.\nApplications are done online at www.agones-sfc.eu/events\nIn case of bad weather\, the race director will take the necessary decisions 30 minutes prior to the event.\nJunior Races will be included and held according to the Aquathlon Distances set by the Malta Triathlon Federation.\nIn case of cancellation\, the event will be postponed to a later date and no refund will be given.\nPlease keep yourself updated via the event page\, Agones Sfc Facebook.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Garmin BSJ Open Water Swimming Championships will be organised by the Swimming Board of Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club\, under the auspices of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta and will consist of five races of a 2km distance\, and one race of 4km. \nThe Club reserves the right to cancel events at its own discretion even at a short notice. \nThe Club will announce the location closer to the race date in order to establish a location with safe racing conditions. \nRace 1 – 19th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 2 – 26th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 3 – 3rd July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 4 – 31st July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 5 – 14th August – 6:00pm – 2km \nRace 6 – 28th August – 5:00pm – 4k \n21st August – Reserved for Cancellations – 2k \n4th September – Reserved for Cancellations – 4km \nThe entry fee for each race is €15 per race \nSwimming Championships Single Entry – €15 – REGISTER \nSAFETY: All efforts will be made by the Club to ensure the safety of the swimmers during these events. Nonetheless\, swimmers are being reminded that should at any time a swimmer feels unwell\, s/he should immediately draw the attention of one of the marshals on the patrolling canoes or boat\, or head for the shore immediately.  Swimmers should be conversant with all the applicable rules and regulations.

DESCRIPTION:RACE INFO\nSALINI ON 23 JUNE 2024\nFOUR ATHLETES – ONE TEAM\n​ONE SWIMMER​ · ONE CYCLIST · TWO RUNNERS\n​THE SWIM\nSwim 750m from Salina Beach around two buoys and back.\nTHE BIKE\nRide your shining bike for three loops\, that’s 20km\, starting off from Salina Bay up to the turnaround point and back. ​\n​THE RUN\nTwo members of your team have to run 5k each\, one waiting for the other to arrive. Yes\, this is a relay event after all.\n\n​Important Info \n\nThe start of the race is at 7:30AM\nThe road will be closed between 7:00AM and 10:00AM\nThe minimum age of participants is 16+\nThe maximum number of participants allowed is of 320\, that’s 80 teams of 4\nEach team must have at least one male or female registered.\n\nRace Format \n\nBike start in waves of 20 (4 waves in total) with 1 min interval between each wave.\nBike leg is draft legal. Time trial bikes and Ebikes are not allowed.\nRun starts 2 minutes after the last bike wave leaves.\nSwimmers start 20 min after the run start.\nSwim start: Beach start from the top of the ramp and will finish at the top of the ramp.\nSwimmers will use own chipped timing at the start and finish line.\nCyclists will use own chipped timing at the start and finish line.\nRunners will have the same and will use the finish Gantry. A secure area to tag for change over from runner 1 to runner 2 will be created. The change over will be marshaled by the organisers.\nRunners will run on the pavement and cycle lane.\nRunners will run with a race bib\nAll goody bags will be distributed at the end of the race.\nOnce registered\, should a team member need to be changed\, an email is to be sent to the organisers.\nThe registration will close once all 320 places have been filled.

DESCRIPTION:Not short of stunning scenery\, the Dingli course is notorious for being technical with some steep hills dotting the route\, particularly in the last few hundred metres leading to the finish.  It also includes some of Malta’s best coastal views from Dingli cliffs which are 253 metres above sea level. \nAthletes can choose between a 10km route and a 5km route. \nThe Race will take place on Sunday 16th\, June with registration taking place on the 15th June.

The race number should be worn on the chest without covering any part of it. A fee of €5.00 is applicable for lost numbers.\nThe male and female runners with the best accumulated timings over the three races\, will be declared the winners of the Series. The races’ results will appear in real time on line.
