SUMMARY:2024 | Garmin BSJ Open Water Swimming Championships – Race 1
DESCRIPTION:The annual Garmin BSJ Open Water Swimming Championships will be organised by the Swimming Board of Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club\, under the auspices of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta and will consist of five races of a 2km distance\, and one race of 4km. \nThe Club reserves the right to cancel events at its own discretion even at a short notice. \nThe Club will announce the location closer to the race date in order to establish a location with safe racing conditions. \nRace 1 – 19th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 2 – 26th June – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 3 – 3rd July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 4 – 31st July – 6:30pm – 2km \nRace 5 – 14th August – 6:00pm – 2km \nRace 6 – 28th August – 5:00pm – 4k \n21st August – Reserved for Cancellations – 2k \n4th September – Reserved for Cancellations – 4km \nThe entry fee for each race is €15 per race \nSwimming Championships Single Entry – €15 – REGISTER \nSAFETY: All efforts will be made by the Club to ensure the safety of the swimmers during these events. Nonetheless\, swimmers are being reminded that should at any time a swimmer feels unwell\, s/he should immediately draw the attention of one of the marshals on the patrolling canoes or boat\, or head for the shore immediately.  Swimmers should be conversant with all the applicable rules and regulations.

SUMMARY:Dingli Edition 2024
DESCRIPTION:Not short of stunning scenery\, the Dingli course is notorious for being technical with some steep hills dotting the route\, particularly in the last few hundred metres leading to the finish.  It also includes some of Malta’s best coastal views from Dingli cliffs which are 253 metres above sea level. \nAthletes can choose between a 10km route and a 5km route. \nThe Race will take place on Sunday 16th\, June with registration taking place on the 15th June.

DESCRIPTION:Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club under the auspices of the Athletics Malta\, is the sole organiser of the BSJ 5K Road Running Series 2024\, consisting of three road running races on a distance of 5 kilometres.\nRace Dates : 11th June / 9th July / 6th August\nEach applicant shall be given an electronic race number which will be valid for the three races. The race number should be worn on the chest without covering any part of it. A fee of €5.00 is applicable for lost numbers.\nThe male and female runners with the best accumulated timings over the three races\, will be declared the winners of the Series. The races’ results will appear in real time on line.

DESCRIPTION:The 3rd race of the 2024 trail running league will be held on Saturday the 25th May\, 3.00pm at Buskett. The race\, which is approx 5km long is supported by EUROSPORT and powered by Adidas Terrex.\nThe Buskett route\, is one of the nicest trail running experiences you can get on our island. The short distance makes this event particularly attractive for rookie runners\, as well as more experienced trail runners who want to challenge each other on home soil!\nAll events timed by ARRTS timing system.\nNOTE: Numbers need to be kept for the whole series. If a number is lost or destroyed the athletes need to purchase a new one from ARRTS at a cost of €5.\nApplications are done online on www.agones-sfc.eu/events. Online applications will close 3 days prior to the event or when the maximum number of participants is reached. DESCRIPTION:The 8th edition of The Elmo Insurance Aquathlon will be held on the public holiday of 29th June in Marsascala. Apart from the individual Aquathlon event for adults\, there is also a relay team category composed of 1 swimmer and 1 runner.
